Reec of Hot 107.9 Surprises Students!

 

Reec of Hot 1079 surprised students of Jean Young Middle in Atlanta with a Pizza Party to congratulate them for their participation in the Reading Program administered by Ms Hargrove and staff. Pizza was provided courtesy of Positive American Youth (payusa.org), Little Cesar’s of Lithia Springs and Reec.

Collectively these students have already read over 100 books thus far, since the beginning of the school year. In a day and age where youth illiteracy in the inner city is at an all time high, it is extremely commendable to see these students take pride in reading.   Special Thanks to the Principal Dr. Griffin & his staff for their efforts to bridge the gap between the students and community partners.
